The TI-Nspire Family

TI-Nspire is a flexible ICT platform that enables students to explore different mathematical and scientific topics and concepts.

It does this by dynamically linking software applications, which include Calculator, Graphs, Geometry, Lists & Spreadsheet, Data & Statistics, Vernier DataQuest™ and Notes.

TI-Nspire is a modular system which is available in fully compatible handheld and software versions, to meet different teaching and learning needs. It can be used on a computer, projected onto a whiteboard or screen and used on a handheld device, by individuals and groups.

The modular system has four main elements, which are described below:

1. TI-Nspire CX Handhelds

These slimline, backlit, full-colour handheld devices combine interactive graphing capabilities with computer-like features for a more engaging way to see and explore mathematics and science concepts.

Help students see the kinds of connections that spark understanding. TI-Nspire Software enables you to share documents seamlessly with TI-Nspire handhelds, publish to the Internet and create interactive reports (including video clips).

TI-Nspire technology offers multiple data logging options to fit your classroom's needs. Spark curiosity with single-sensor labs or more analytical, multi-sensor explorations. With the new Vernier DataQuest™ App built into OS and software version 3.0, students can quickly collect and analyse data anywhere.

5. Support and Resources

An integral part of the TI-Nspire offering is the unrivalled support available to teachers. Resources include ready-to-use classroom activities, templates and lesson ideas, many of which are shared by teachers, as well as downloads and tutorials. There is also a Learning Community, which includes the T3 network of teachers (Teachers Teaching with Technology™) with online and face-to-face professional development opportunities.
